I went to see Kate because I finally made myself seek support over my anxiety issues. I have experienced anxiety at work meetings and presentations for years. This is something I've tried to work on myself and it did get a bit better but I needed someone to work through it with me. I have had hypnotherapy and NLP with Kate and it has made a huge difference. Kate listened to the issue, it's triggers and how it affects me and then we pinpointed two ways in which the anxiety takes over and worked towards managing them better. I feel it has worked as I now have fewer if no anxious thought cycles and feel I can manage my anxieties and not let them overtake me when dealing with the situations I find difficult. Kate is great, she understood what I felt and needed and worked with me to overcome and manage my anxiety problem. She is doing this because it is a genuine passion of hers and I feel this makes it work. She has guided me through a couple of sessions with top ups available which is a fantastic way to be supported as I manage my anxiety issue and stop it from affecting me.
My life has seemed quite together over a number of years and I have been able to have fulfilling work, bring up my family of 3 chilren, and have an interesting social life. I went through many very difficult bereavements and divorce in my 30's but maintained a relationship with my ex partner so that the children would hopefully not be too damaged by the experience. However, I am now in my 60's and there was still something niggling at me that didn't seem quite right, but I couldn't determine what this was or what to do about it. I decided to see Kate about this problem, which I thought must be related to my childhood experiences and I have found her quiet, unassuming questioning and kindness has opened me up to find the root cause of my problems. Its amazing really, that I find myself in a very different place after only a few sessions and I am looking forward and excited about the rest of my journey with Kate.
I joined Kate's group earlier this year, having been on and off diets all of my adult life. I acknowledged to myself that I needed to seriously dig deeper and find out why I kept self-sabotaging. It was a relief to go to the group and find common ground with others. I immediately took to Kate - she is warm and personable and came up with sensible ideas in how to help us : talking in the group, listening to others and having short hypno sessions. Since the course ended I have been having personal sessions with Kate and, whilst it has been hard to face up to old demons, I am finally making a breakthrough. There is no magic answer but I am nearing my first 1 stone loss (still another 4 to go!) which I am determined not to put back on ever again.
Kate - I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the amazing hypnotherapy sessions I have had with you. I walked in on the first one like a coiled spring. So anxious about everything, stressed, and foggy minded. You have helped me so much - I feel calmer, less anxious, less stressed, and clearer about how to deal with situations as they arise. After yo-yo dieting for 20 years and trying every fad diet going I thought I'd give hypnotherapy a try. Working with Kate was a brilliant experience and it's changed my relationship with food forever! Kate is warm and encouraging and has a lovely energy. I had some real breakthroughs and could finally make sense of what I'd been struggling with for many years. I can't recommend her enough. It really has changed my life.
( For Weight Management Group) I was introduced to Kate and Lynne through a mutual friend who had posted some information about them both on Facebook. I think I read it at the right time in my life. I had reached a point where I was just exhausted from constantly yo yo dieting and trying to lose weight. It had taken over my whole life. If It wasn’t counting calories I was mixing shakes or cutting out carbs. It was endless. I have struggled with my weight for over ten years, either being too thin or what I deemed as overweight. My self-confidence was at an all-time low and I felt desperate to sort myself out. I was a little nervous as I walked into my first class, I shouldn’t have been. Kate and Lynne put me at ease the minute I walked through the door. We all introduced ourselves and I think what made me comfortable was that we were all there for the same reason. We all discussed what we wanted out of the programme and the ladies went through what tools they were going to teach us to help get us the results. We have learnt relaxation methods, methods to take our mind off food and other ways to distract our minds. More importantly, we are being taught to love ourselves again and I really think that is the true path to happiness. It’s not about diets, or shaming or weighing, it’s about getting in the right frame of mind , writing food diaries, expressing how you feel when you haven’t had a good day. Finding out what triggered those low feelings and finding ways to help you get around it. I have to say that in three sessions I feel like a different person. The hypnotherapy isn’t an overnight miracle cure and you won’t get skinny in a week, you need to be willing to work with the tools and the positive affirmations that have been place in your sub conscious mind and by doing that the positive results will be very evident! I can honestly say, in such a short time, I have lost interest in food, I feel so much happier and in control of my life and I won’t ever use the word DIET again. I can actually have my cake and eat it...if I choose. For that Kate and Lynne I can’t thank you both enough!!
I was very sceptical about hypnosis and, if I'm honest, I didn't really believe it would work - but I thought there was no harm in trying. I've always struggled with binge eating and have never been able to leave food on my plate so - those were the first things I asked to tackle. After just one session, I noticed a massive difference. I didn't feel obliged to finish what was on my plate and I found myself not binging at all. It was incredible! Before, I always had this horrible internal struggle where I would be fighting against my willpower and I would always cave in - but Kate gave me that boost I needed to find my willpower and take the constant inner battle away! Since then we have worked on confidence and portion control and it is amazing what a difference it makes. I thoroughly recommend it to everyone – no matter what your problems and no matter how sceptical you are – you will definitely notice a change!
I was recommended to see Kate through a friend, as I was having a traumatic time in my life moving on from a past relationship. I was finding it difficult to feel good about myself and to build new confidence to get back to my old happy go lucky self, I can't speak highly enough of the professional and worth while efforts Kate gave to me.. Building me back to my old self, so much so that at the end of our session I met my now girlfriend, I am so happy with life now and can't thank Kate enough for her help, highly recommended!
