About me

Having spent 12 years supporting creatives to find new roles combined with 10 years as a psychotherapist and coach working with individuals and with teams, I’ve discovered my superpower is helping creatives reconnect to themselves, each other and to their creativity.

We cannot do our best thinking, let alone creative thinking when we are in stress mode so my approach combines therapeutic techniques to arm people with strategies to manage stress as well as coaching -to enable them to reach their potential. My approach is holistically addressing your team’s wellbeing whilst nurturing communication and creativity.

A Date With Your Team

What is it?

A One-Day Team Reset

A bespoke, off-site day designed to reduce stress, strengthen communication and restore creative capacity.

Outcomes

  • Improved cohesion and collaboration

  • Reduced stress and emotional overload

  • Renewed clarity, creativity and focus

This is not just another team building day - it’s the perfect blend of wellbeing, productivity and inspiration. ADWYT is a bespoke one day retreat to reconnect and facilitate creativity and relationships. Bespoke to your team’s specific needs and ideal for a kick off/ launch of a new project or when you generally need a reboot.

As the team leader, you may feel stretched, feeling like you have to be responsible for the wellbeing as well as productivity of your team. What if you could outsource this - providing the space to help you and your team to decompress, foster improved communication and connection and boost creativity. Spend the day in a gorgeous setting away from the office and rekindle the spark. This could be a one- off retreat or regular retreat as part of your ongoing wellbeing commitment to your team.

    • Book a call with myself and your team leader to discuss needs

    • I will come back with a proposal for your bespoke retreat day

    • I can organise the venue (I work with beautiful spaces in Oxfordshire and Richmond) or you can book your own (this is not suitable for an in house meeting room)

    • Agree the date and details

    • Team members to fill out a confidential survey to further understand needs

    • Enjoy your day and let me do the rest!

  • Through my ‘A Date with Your Business’ retreats and working with so many teams who are struggling, I’ve witnessed so many creative people burnt out by demands of life and work, let alone the constant distractions (slack, teams, google chat messages) and it’s my mission to reboot people and bring the joy back into the creative process and their work. A Date With Your Team was inspired by the positive results achieved in taking just one day out of a business and how powerful that would be for a team.

Individual 1:1 Coaching

Human beings are complex creatures and sometimes they need more support than chatting with their peers in order to do their best work.

I’ve developed a hybrid approach of therapy and coaching. The therapeutic element provides confidential space to talk with practical tools and strategies to combat blocks, whether that’s stress management, working relationships, better time management or setting boundaries. Releasing these stucknesses allows effective coaching - asking the right questions to allow people to come up with their own best solutions and take action.

My sessions can be offered as stand alone sessions or allocated to individuals where specific needs have been identified  as packages of 5 or 10 sessions.

    • Arrange a conversation to decide the best approach for business needs

    • You decide how many sessions you need for your employees, depending on need and size of your business and the frequency of uptake

    • Employees are then sent a booking link so they can book a 60 minute session at their convenience

    • I will let you know when you are nearly out of credits and you can top up, as required

My signature workshops

Therapy-informed, coaching-led workshops that support clarity, regulation and sustainable performance — without pathologising or overwhelming.

I can also work with you to create a bespoke workshop to meet your team’s needs. My specialism is working with people in the Creative industries of Fashion and Media, however, whatever sector you are in, I am very happy to speak with you about how your organisation could benefit from my expertise.

  • What this is

A practical, human workshop for teams working under sustained pressure — deadlines, change, uncertainty, or high responsibility — who are functioning, but stretched.

    This is not resilience theatre.
It’s about understanding stress as a nervous system response and learning how to work with it.

    Core outcomes

    Participants will:

    • Understand how pressure affects thinking, communication and decision-making

    • Learn simple, discreet regulation tools they can use at work

    • Identify personal pressure patterns (without oversharing)

    • Leave with strategies that support focus and steadiness

    What we cover

    • The physiology of pressure (plain English, no jargon)

    • Why “just coping” isn’t neutral

    • Micro-resets for busy days

    • Boundaries and recovery that actually work in real jobs

    Ideal for

    • High-performing teams

    • Leadership groups

    • Organisations going through change

  • Creating sustainable ways of working — individually and collectively

    What this is

A preventative workshop for teams where exhaustion is normalised and recovery is an afterthought.

    This isn’t about doing less.
It’s about doing what matters without burning people out.

    Core outcomes

    Participants will:

    • Recognise early signs of burnout (in themselves and teams)

    • Understand why burnout isn’t a personal failing

    • Identify practical changes that protect energy

    • Share responsibility for healthier ways of working

    What we cover

    • Burnout as a systems issue, not an individual flaw

    • Energy management vs time management

    • The cost of chronic stress on creativity and engagement

    • Small team-level shifts that make a big difference

    Ideal for

    • HR / People teams

    • Caring professions

    • Creative or mission-driven teams

  • Better boundaries, better communication, better decisions

    What this is

A grounded workshop for teams who are busy, well-intentioned, and slightly tangled — unclear roles, blurred boundaries, and too much reactivity.

This workshop helps teams pause, reflect, and reset how they work together.

    Core outcomes

    Participants will:

    • Understand why boundaries break down under pressure

    • Learn how to communicate needs without defensiveness

    • Reflect on their own default patterns at work

    • Leave with clearer agreements and expectations

    What we cover

    • Why clarity is calming

    • Emotional load at work (without therapy language)

    • Saying no without guilt

    • Resetting expectations after periods of strain

    • Creating ‘thinking environments’ where people feel seen and heard

    Ideal for

    • Cross-functional teams

    • Leaders and managers

    • Organisations scaling or restructuring

Some illuminating stats:

With employers seeing a return of £5.30 on average for every £1 invested in staff mental health, the economic argument for putting wellbeing at the heart of post-covid recovery is clear.”

- Paul Farmer OBE, CEO, Mind

“Business units with engaged workers have 23% higher profit compared with business units with miserable workers. Additionally, teams with thriving workers see significantly lower absenteeism, turnover and accidents; they also see higher customer loyalty. The point is: Wellbeing at work isn’t at odds with anyone’s agenda

– Jon Clifton CEO, Gallup Source: Gallup State of the Global Workplace: 2022 Report

Prioritising employee wellbeing can significantly increase retention, boost employee advocacy, and strengthen employee engagement.

Employees who experience high levels of wellbeing in the workplace are 3 times more likely to intend to stay with their employer.

They are also 3 times more likely to go the extra mile in their work.

Combining strengths and wellbeing at work is potentially the most transformational treatment yet in the urgent pursuit of resiliency, mental health and ultimately, net thriving”

Corporate client feedback

“ Resilience is your super power, a great workshop and really gets you to think about the way you behave in challenging situations in work and personal life.
It has really supported the team and myself on how we approach our day to day challenges to how we respond to things we find difficult to deal with. Even if we are not sure how to approach the challenge we are all more aware of how are colleges feel and can support each other. We use a lot of what we have learnt in our teams one to one catch ups as well as appraisals.”

Annalisa Gioia – Head of Design, Oliver Bonas

“Kate has provided individual wellbeing coaching sessions for our team since June 2021 and all the feedback I've received has been so positive. I know that these sessions have made such a difference for our Portlanders, giving them a space to talk freely and strategies to deal with the challenges they are facing. Kate has made the whole process so easy with an online booking system and is very responsive when we have a team member in need of an urgent session. I highly recommend Kate to any companies wishing to support the mental wellbeing of their people!”

Emily Williams - Global HR Business Partner, Portland

“Kate carried out a fantastic workshop for the Heathrow Corporate Communications team on Stress Resilience and setting boundaries last month. Kate encouraged group conversations and provided the team with helpful coping mechanisms on being stress resilient and mindful on emotions – both at work and in our personal lives. I’d highly recommend Kate to speak at your team meeting, away day or individual coaching! ”

Shabana Bhatty - Communications Planning Executive, Heathrow

"Kate has been incredible with helping us coach and support our team on topics around wellbeing. The feedback from the team has been outstanding, the attendance and engagement has been some of the highest we've seen with any of our wellbeing initiatives. Looking forward to working on more coaching in future!"
